Collection: Kokedama
Kokedama (English, literally means "moss ball") is a ball of soil, covered with moss, on which an ornamental plant grows. The idea has its origins in Japan.
We make our Kokedama from our own house plant cuttings and will update our website when we have stock available.
Caring for your Kokedama:
Kokedama plants are susceptible to over- and under-watering, so check the moss ball to see if it feels light before watering. You can soak the ball in a container of water for 10–15 minutes, making sure the plant is upright and the moss is completely submerged. Then, remove excess water and let the kokedama dry out. You can also mist the plant with water every 3–5 days, especially if it's in a dry environment. In general, plants need more water during the growing season (spring and summer) and less during dormancy (fall and winter). If your kokedama has browning or crisping edges, it might be underwatered, while brown mushiness, black stems, or yellow leaves could indicate over-watering.
We advise keeping your Kokedama in a shady area of your room/house as direct sunlight is not good for the moss/plant.
